Session Five
This week's class discussion was good and informative from others perspectives. When I found it a challenge to find a use for a resource in the classroom, someone else seems to have one (way to collaborate). The ideas for Web2.0 tools are unlimited for educational use. With the exception of twitter. I thought I was alone in not really seeing that as useful in the classroom but I'm not. I admire those who are in the course and start using or exploring right away with their students. For me, I am still quite timid about using these resources so I'm still using the information as practice for the most part. However, Louis did mention that he was hoping we would not sit on all this but, use it beyond Stritch, I don't think as a educator we will be allowed to do that. So don't worry Louis us slow learners are catching up!

session four
I have really learned a lot about all of the tools and resources that are available. This week I exposed myself to twitter, and social book marking. I see all of the tools being used for education as well as personal. Twitter is something that I believe students can use but I would not take the content to seriously. While opinions matter, sometimes you want the facts. Students still how to res each and be able to determine what is good information. I like the idea of pod casting for creative speaking, it could give students confidence in public as they assess themselves its like instant feedback.

What could I do?
All though I was not present in class I know I was getting the same exposure to many available resources at the 2010 WEMTA conference. There were many workshops with information on photo sharing, blogging, wikis, and the like. I am not sure about the CCL because I am not yet comfortable with completely sharing whatever I do so openly yet. However, everyone wants credit for what they do and I think that it knowing about CCL is important. I would use this for letting students know the importance of giving and getting credit for work they do or that others create.

Session Two Photo Sharing
I like the idea of photo sharing for students. This could be done for news papers, reports, and areas of interest to them. photo sharing is great for story telling for personal and in school use. It could also get students out more to take pictures to go along with their work instead of copying photos from the web, I believe that they will become more connected to their work.
Session One
There are several things that can be done with the tools that are now available to teachers, students, businesses and all. I like the idea of using blogs in the library. Many Ideas have been presented and great ways to get them started as well. One of my goals is to set up a Library page mainly for my middle school students. I believe this will help them focus more in the library.
